PANTO PANDEMONIUM!!!!!!! By Imaan.

On Tuesday 9th December and Thursday 11th December 2014, Ks2 performed an excellent performance of Panto Pandemonium in front of Ks1 and parents, in the hall at Mersey Vale Primary school at 9:30am, 1:30pm and 6:00pm.

On Tuesday 9th December 2014 was the dress rehearsal. It took a long time to prepare and learn our lines for the Christmas play but we managed. It took courage and talent to perform in front of all those parents. Half-asleep, the parents were woken up by the sound of the children’s singing. The first scene was amazing. The main characters were played by: Arran (11), (Izzy) Izabbela (10), Harry (10) and Sumayya (10), Maria, who played the wicked witch, (10), Jack (10), Leighton (10) and Imaan, who played as the Good Fairy, (11), and it must have took a lot practice to get those lines right!

The first scene was all about Arran, Harry, Izzy and Sumayya at their school waiting for their teacher, Mrs. Bradley, to take them to the theatre. But when their teacher was said to be ill a supply teacher, Miss. Deeds, played by Maria, took them to the theatre. She was actually the wicked witch! Her servants Spotty, Leighton, and Grotty, Jack, were following her lead by trying to capture those ‘horrible’ children so they could rule Pantoland.
The 2nd scene was about when those children met the good fairy and she explained who she was and that the wicked witch had stolen all the good magic from three very special things which are: the goose that lays the golden eggs from Jack and the beanstalk, the magic lamp from Aladdin and the glass slipper from Cinderella.

The 3rd scene was about the story Jack and the beanstalk, the 7 dwarfs and the giant. The 4th scene was about audience participation with boo and hisses. The 5th scene was about Cinderella, the ugly step sisters and the glass slipper. The 6th scene was about Aladdin, the magic lamp and the children. The final scene was about the good fairy defeating the wicked witch once and for all. They lead the wicked witch and all the other baddies into the magic light!!!

Panto Pandemonium by Saskia

On Tuesday 11th of December, a play called Panto pandemonium, was performed. The parents were woken up by the sound of the children, in Ks2, first song “welcome.” Near the end of the first song the four children, Arran, Izabella (Izzy), Harry and Sumayya, walked on confidently.

It took a lot of courage and confidence to walk onto the stage and either sing or talk; they were amazing actors and they had fabulous singing voices. Imaan, the good fairy in the play, was good at acting and had and amazing singing voice.

Nafisa and Rowa, Boo and Hiss, helped the audience participate in the performance by making them boo and hiss; they made us sing a song called Panto pandemonium.
The wicked witch, Maria, was despicable and tried to rule Pantoland with her servants Spotty and Grotty, Leighton and Jack.

The songs were full of joy and you could tell the cast enjoyed acting and singing. Even the kids who didn’t have a speaking part enjoyed it.In the end the stories went back to normal andthe witch, with her slaves, turned good. We ended with a song called “goodbye” which was the same tune as “welcome.”

Moo, the front half of the cow, and tail, the back half of the cow, finally found each other :)
